Why are archive files like .zip and .car called "archive files"? Because they're files which contain multiple files. This means that an archive (a single, portable thing) is a larger thing which contains smaller things. So what? This text file can act as an archive index: a single thing which "contains" things. And where might you find this text file? It could be linked somewhere on the web and described in a way that more or less matches the contents of this file.
Some ideas:
* I have hundreds of CLI log text files; I could index multiple of them in this TXT file, maybe along with related data.
* Use HTMLs, because they're funner than TXT files.
